Water activities on the gold coast are abundant.

There’s so much to see and do that for some who only have a short time here on the Gold Coast it can be difficult to decide what to do first.

We’ve got a list of the top 5 water activities to try on the gold coast…

#1 Flyboarding

Flyboarding is a relatively new sport in the world…

It works by forcing water through a pipe and out through either a board or a jet pack on which the rider is attached to.

It’s completely safe but does take a considerable amount of fitness to get the most out of it.

There’s a couple of places on the coast where you can try flyboarding which you can see here or if you want to try out the jet packs you can book here.

As you can see from the video below this is why flyboarding is #1 on the list…

#2 Jet Boating

Let’s be honest here, there’s lots to do in the water on the coast but who doesn’t love the more “adventurous type” stuff…

We have a huge network of canals and a large Broadwater here on the Gold Coast which is what makes our city so beautiful.

The only way to see it all and have fun at the same time is at HIGH SPEED!

The ocean jet is the fastest passenger jet boat in Australia and New Zealand so is definitely worth checking it out.

There’s also the Jetboat Extreme which is another fantastic option and flies over the Broadwater at 80km per hour. Families with kids just love it.

#3 Jet Skis

We couldn’t have a list of things to do on the water on the Gold Coast without mentioning Jet Ski Safaris

Jet Skis are an exhilarating way to explore the islands and waters that surround the gold coast.

Jump on your own Jet Ski and head off on an 80 kilometre Jet Ski adventure to explore hidden beaches and pockets of deserted islands.

This is a must if you make it to the Gold Coast.

#4  Boat Hire

The Gold Coast is known around the world as a tourist destination. But for those who aren’t quite into the whole “adventure sports” thing we have you covered…

For a beautiful day out on the water on the Gold Coast you can hire a Duffy boat or pontoon boat to cruise at your own leisurely pace to some deserted beach in paradise and enjoy a packed lunch. You can drive it yourself or if you fancy a champagne lunch or a couple of beers you can hire a skipper to drive you.

#5 Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is a great activity for those looking for adventure on the Gold Coast.

There are plenty of options for those both new to scuba as well as those with their diving tickets. For those who are new to it you can take a guided tour out to wave Break Island, learn the basics and dive in to feed all the local friendly fish.

So there you have it, the top 5 water activities to try on the gold coast. There are a multitude of experiences available on the water for everyone who visits…

If you’re here on holiday and are looking for something to do make sure you try at least one of the above.
